GOLF COURSE RULES
1. ALL GOLFERS MUST
REGISTER IN THE PRO SHOP
PRIOR TO PLAYING.
2. Reserving
Tee Times
3. Dress
appropriately
4. No metal spikes, only
spikeless shoes and alternative
spike golf shoes are permitted on the course.
5. No
“shagging” or practice putting will be allowed on the
golf course, except in designated areas.
6. Observe
all rules posted on the golf course, on the
scorecard and in the Pro Shop.
7. Every
member is obligated to follow the course rules and
is responsible for their guests.
8. Members
are responsible for the conduct of their children
and their guests including the use of proper golf etiquette.
9. Slower
players must let fast player play through. Play
fast, play courteous. Players should play at a good pace.
It is a group’s responsibility to keep up with the group in
front of them. If there is one open hole in front of your
group and you are delaying the group behind you, it is
your responsibility to invite the group behind you to play
through, irrespective of the number of players in that
group. The recommended pace of play not withstanding
suspensions of play is a maximum of 4 hours.
10. All
“beginners” should avoid interfering with the play of
more experienced players.
11.
Ball marks must be repaired and divots replaced and/or
filled in with sand. Every golfer is responsible
for
repairing their own. A ball mark repaired
immediately
heals in 24 hours. A ball mark left one hour
takes 15 days
to heal. Respect our beautiful course.
12. Members
should attempt to play in foursomes whenever
possible. Any group or individual wishing to play
or
signing up to play as less than a foursome is
doing so
under the assumption that the Head Professional
or any
assistant professional or pro shop attendant may
assign
another player or players to their group during
periods
when there is a high demand for tee times.
13. No
fivesomes unless authorized by the Head Golf
Professional or Assistant Golf Professional.
14. The
Head Golf Professional and/or the Assistant Pro
shall have the authority to enforce all golf
rules.
15. Club
“Skins Game”
a. The game will start one hour after the first
tee time
b. No game on Holidays
c. A maximum of five tee times will be blocked
off
d. Sign up one week in advance so unneeded
tee time
can be marked as
“open"
e. The sign up list will consist of 20 players
16.
Groups - Members may bring up to seven guests by
making prior arrangements with the Head Golf
Professional. Larger groups or weekend groups are
subject to special conditions established by the
Board
of Directors. Contact the Pro Shop and the Head
Golf
Professional for details and/or approval.
17. Guests
of a member are allowed to play no more than
five (5) times during the year. The only exception to
this rule is houseguests. Houseguests must reside more
than 45 miles from the club.
18.
All golfers are encouraged to play the ball down at all
times, abide by the USGA Rules of Golf, and local or
club
rules which may be in effect or other rules that may be
posted on the course, at the Pro Shop or on the
scorecard.
19.
All members are encouraged to post all scores during the
time periods established by the CDGA.
20.
All golfers using a motorized cart must abide by the
posted signs and markings on the course regarding
where to drive. These carts should be driven on cart
paths whenever possible and never be driven closer than
30 yards to any green. |
