PENALTIES
1. A member may be fined
and/or censured,
suspended, or expelled from the Club for
unbecoming conduct on the part of himself
or on the part of his immediate family or his guest,
where the circumstances make the conduct of
such other persons attributable to the member.
2. The Board shall
determine what constitutes
“unbecoming conduct.” In general, it is conduct
detrimental to the good order, peace, and welfare
of the Club, conduct in violation of the Constitution,
By-laws, or rules duly passed by the Board, physical
or verbal abuse of any Club member or Club employee,
violent acts which are disruptive to the operation of
the Club, stealing or defacing Club property.
3.The Board shall give a
member accused of unbecoming
conduct at least ten days written notice of any meeting,
and the alleged charges to be considered at the
meeting.
The Board shall afford the member a reasonable
opportunity to
defend himself at the meeting.
4. The parents or guardian
of any child found disobeying
these rules shall be directed to appear with the child
before the Board to show cause why penalties should
not be inflicted.
5. Fines shall not exceed
$200.00 plus the cost of
replacing any damaged items, and/or loss of Club
privileges for 30 days, and/or cancellation of
membership, subject to the severity of the case. |
